The Prix Italia returns to Milan in 2005 for the third time, having previously been held here in 1952 and 1978.

The Prix Italia Village will be hosted by Pirelli Real Estate in its Headquarters in the Bicocca area, in Via Bicocca degli Arcimboldi 12, 20126 Milan, to be precise.
This is where all the Prix's organisational structures (reception, video on-demand, Secretariat offices, press room etc.) will be located and where all the main activities (work of the juries, conferences and professional meetings etc.) will take place.

Press conferences and RAI previews will be held in the Auditorium on the ground floor of the Pirelli RE headquarters.

The opening day will take place at Cernobbio on Lake Como, at Villa Erba, once owned by Luchino Visconti's mother, Carla Erba. Raidue's “Palconscenico” programme will feature music and clips from illustrious Lombard film director Luchino Visconti.







The closing show, to be aired by Raiuno, will be held in the recently constructed Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Auditorium in Largo Mahler, just one example of how the Lombard capital is converting former industrial zones into new cultural centre and service centres.
